Result of Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

The Referendum took place on 12th March.

The question asked was as follows:-

Do you want Tewkesbury Borough Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Churchdown and Innsworth to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area? Votes Recorded Percentage
Number cast in favour of a Yes: 1680 91.20% share of vote
Number cast in favour of a No: 155 8.41% share of vote

Therefore, the Plan passed Referendum.

The Council wishes to thank all Residents who voted in the Referendum and is very pleased to make the announcement that the Plan has passed, and that the Borough planners will be able to use it when deciding planning applications.

Much hard work has gone into formulating the Plan over many years by local people to whom we give our sincere thanks.

Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

The Referendum for the Neighbourhood Plan will be held on 12th March. All electors should have their polling card by now.

The Plan is intended to have a positive influence on development in the Parish up to 2031. Local Residents have been working hard on it since 2014 and the policies in it have been developed taking into account the views of Residents as expressed in the Community Engagement in 2014.

Council Meeting

The next meeting of the Council will take place on Saturday, 1st February at 10 am at Innsworth Community Hall. All residents are welcome to attend.

Extraordinary Meeting of Council

There will be an Extraordinary Meeting of the Council at 9 am on Saturday, 21st December, to review the report received from the Independent Examiner for the Churchdown & Innsworth Neighbourhood Plan, For the agenda, please see agenda folder under Documents tab.

The Council would like to wish all Residents a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Council Meeting – Thursday, 31st October

The next meeting of the Parish Council will take place on 31st October, at 6 pm, at Innsworth Community Hall.

There will be a presentation by personnel from Gigaclear about the works on Innsworth Lane.

All are welcome and there is a section for public participation at the beginning of the meeting.

Flooding in Innsworth

The Council wishes to highlight the issue of flooding in the Parish of Innsworth. If any Residents have any photos of flooding, whether this is large scale, or simply water pooling on the roads after heavy rain, please send these to the Clerk at . The photos will, with your permission, be displayed on this website

The next meeting of the Parish Council will take place on Thursday, 26th September at 6 pm, at Innsworth Community Hall. Residents are welcome to attend, either just to listen or to ask questions of the Council. There is a section for public participation at the beginning of the meeting.

The next Council Meeting will take place at Innsworth Community Hall on Thursday, 25th July at 6 pm. Come along and find out about the work of the Council, and give your opinion on what the Council is doing. All welcome.

Churchdown & Innsworth Neighbourhood Plan

The latest consultation on the Neighbourhood Plan (the Regulation 16 consultation) which is run by Tewkesbury Borough Council started today, the 24th June and runs until 5th August. Please have a look at the Plan documents at:- :

Churchdown & Innsworth Neighbourhood Plan – Reg 16 Consultation

The Regulation 16 consultation on the Neighbourhood Plan has started today.  This consultation is run by Tewkesbury Borough Council,

The consultation runs from Monday 24 June 2019 until 5pm on Monday 5 August 2019.

Please inform us if you wish to be notified of the local planning authority’s decision on bringing the Neighbourhood Plan into legal force, under Regulation 19, plan making.
